Sound Converter is a high-performance audio converter that requires no
software installation or membership registration. Simply open your browser and convert your
files instantly.
Whether it's iPhone voice memos (m4a), high-quality IC recorder data (WAV), or music files
(FLAC), you can drag and drop them to convert to highly versatile MP3,
high-quality compressed AAC, or professional WAV/AIFF
formats in seconds. Our unique "Client-side Processing" technology ensures that your files
are never uploaded to a server, guaranteeing complete privacy and security.
Unlike typical online converters, we do not send your files to external servers. All conversion and encoding processes happen entirely within your browser (PC/Smartphone). You can safely use this tool for confidential meeting minutes, personal voice memos, or unreleased music tracks.
Powered by the latest web technologies (WebAssembly / WebCodecs), we achieve conversion speeds comparable to native desktop apps. Batch convert massive amounts of files without waiting. We also support bulk ZIP downloading for your convenience.
More than just format conversion. You can customize details to suit your needs. Adjust the bitrate to reduce file size or choose lossless formats (WAV/FLAC/AIFF) to prioritize audio quality. Create the perfect data for any situation.
This tool supports four major audio formats for export. Understand their characteristics to choose the best one for your needs.
The world's most popular audio format. It compresses file size to about 1/10 by removing sounds that are hard for the human ear to hear. Perfect for email attachments, sharing on messaging apps, or embedding on websites. Supports up to 320kbps for high-quality listening.
Developed as the successor to MP3, AAC offers better sound quality than MP3 at the same file size. It has excellent compatibility with Apple products (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and streaming platforms like YouTube. Recommended for maintaining good quality with smaller file sizes.
Records sound exactly as it is without any compression, similar to CDs. With zero quality loss, it is ideal for video editing, music production (DTM), and archiving. However, file sizes are significantly larger (about 10x that of MP3), so it's not suited for quick sharing.
An uncompressed format developed by Apple, essentially sharing the same properties as WAV. Maintains the highest quality without degradation. Easy to handle for users focused on music production in Mac environments (GarageBand, Logic Pro, etc.). Also supports flexible metadata.
SoundConverter utilizes standard web browser capabilities, so some older or specialized
formats may not be supported. Please check the following:
❌ FLAC (Output)
This tool supports FLAC input (reading), but does not support
FLAC output (saving). If you need lossless saving, please use "WAV" or
"AIFF" formats.
❌ WMA (Windows Media Audio)
A legacy Windows format. Most modern browsers have dropped support for WMA, so this tool
cannot read it. Please convert to MP3 using standard Windows tools before using this
site.
❌ DRM Protected Files
Tracks downloaded from streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, or
protected iTunes tracks (m4p) contain Digital Rights Management (DRM) and cannot be
converted.
❌ Corrupted Files / Special Video Containers
Files with missing data or special audio tracks within .mkv or .avi containers may not
load correctly. We support audio extraction from standard MP4 and MOV videos.
Q. My iPhone Voice Memos (.m4a) won't play on Windows. What should I
do?
A. Raw iPhone voice memos often struggle on older Windows players. Use this tool to convert
them to "MP3" for seamless playback on Windows Media Player and other standard software.
Q. Can I convert long recordings (over 1 hour)?
A. Yes, it is possible. However, since this tool uses your device's memory (RAM) for
processing, extremely large files (multi-gigabyte) may cause slow performance or browser
crashes. For very long recordings, we recommend using a PC or splitting the file beforehand.
Q. Does it work on smartphones (iPhone/Android)?
A. Yes, it works perfectly on the latest iOS (Safari) and Android (Chrome). You can select,
convert, and save files directly in the browser without installing any apps. Converted files
are saved to your "Files" app or "Downloads" folder.
Q. Which quality setting should I choose?
A. If you are unsure, choose "MP3" and "192kbps". This is the standard
setting that offers a good balance between high sound quality and file size. For music
listening, "MP3 320kbps" or "AAC" is recommended. For editing materials, choose "WAV" or
"AIFF".
